Barbara J. Muller
Barbara J. Muller passed away on August 18th after a brief illness at the age of 92. She was the middle child of Louis A. Cella and Eleanora (Fontana) Cella and lived her entire live in the Bronx-- the last 80 years in Fieldston. She attended Cathedral High School, college at NYU and received her Masters Degree from Teachers College of Columbia University. Barbara was a Home Economics teacher for over 40 years, an avid traveler, dietitian, expert cook in Northern Italian Cuisine and one of the longest lived residents of Fieldston - 80 years. She was a Home Economics teacher for over 40 years. She was fiercely loyal to her family and cherished her relationships with her friends and fellow teachers ---- "The Forever Forty Club" that still meets at the Riverdale Diner.
Survived by her two children Adrienne Muller Camesas (Lazarus) and William Muller (Celeste). A doting grandmother to seven: Christopher, Alexandra, William, Kirsten, Kurt, Karl and Erica. Also a dear sister of the late Patricia (Cella) Barrett and the late Robert Cella.
Reposing Saturday morning from 8:30-10:30am at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, 1000 Montauk Highway, West Islip, NY 11795.
