Ellis Richard McCauley, 89, a US Navy veteran of three wars, served 27 years, and later continued full time employment until the age of 81.  Ellis graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Glassboro State College in 1978 at age 50.  He was the beloved eldest son of the late Frances Ellis Wehmeyer, and beloved husband of the late Emery (Anna Marie Leone).  Loving brother of the late Jack, Barry, David, Carol, Paul, and Susan. Devoted brother in law and uncle to many nieces and nephews, and cherished friend of Joanne Weed.

Ellis will be remembered on Monday November 6, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. The burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hastings,  NY.
