Annette Michelle Nielsen was born on October 7, 1959 at New York City’s Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. She was the youngest of five children born to the late Esther Ferrer Nielsen and Hans Nielsen. She grew up in Manhattan and was a graduate of the High School of Art and Design. She worked in radio advertising at Eastman Radio in NYC and then later worked in the dentistry field, managing Dental Arts of Maywood (now Great Expressions) in New Jersey.

Annette was a true lover of the arts, filling her life with beautiful music, art, and dance. At every party, you could be sure to find her on the dancefloor. Her creativity was shown through her sense of style, which she was known for. She was a person of phenomenal strength, loyalty, and compassion. Truly a woman who was very family oriented, as she was a wonderful sister, aunt, and mother to her daughter, Jade and considered her close friends as family as well.

She will be sorely missed and always remembered by her daughter, Jade Bresnihan; her siblings, Barbara Chase, Sandra Nielsen, Denise Garcia, Hans Peter Nielsen; her brothers in-law, Lanse Chase and Victor Garcia and sister-in-law, Sandra Diaz-Nielsen; her nieces, Lisa Moore, Nicole Gutierrez, Victoria Durante, and Genna Nielsen; nephews, Michael Perez and Hans Keith Nielsen; her great nieces and nephews, Safiya Scott, Miles Perez, Sean and Jordan Durante and a host of other family members and friends too numerous to mention.

A Memorial Gathering is planned for Sunday, September 23rd from 12 noon to 5:00 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY.
