Our beloved Shyam S. Boodram, 69, of Bronx, New York has passed away on July 22, 2019.  He is survived by his beloved wife Chandra of 48 years, daughter Basmattee (Jean), son Muniram (Anand), and four grandchildren (Henry, Aryana, Penelope, Tristan), and his extended family and friends. Shyam was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, friend, community leader and a true patriarch of our immense family. Shyam was self-employed as a successful real estate investor for over 40 years. Shyam was the true patriarch of our family and a revered leader in the Hindu community. He followed his pursuit to Darma through his generosity as the Founder and President of the Maha Shiva Parvati Mandir in Bronx, New York. Shyam loved cricket, spending time with his family and friends, baseball when the New York Yankees are winning, and loved his sweets when his wife was not looking.

A viewing will be on Friday, July 26th at 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM and funeral services on Saturday, July 27th at 9:00 AM at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY 10471, followed by cremation at Ferncliff Crematory (280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530).
