ROSALINDA LEVITSKY
ROSALINDA LEVITSKY – Beloved mother, sister, wife, companion and friend.
Rosalinda was born in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic in 1938 and emigrated to the United States in 1957 with her husband, Nicolas. Prior to starting a family, Rosalinda attended night school to learn English and did data entry at a credit union. She was a stay-at-home mother to her children for numerous years before returning to the workforce as a para-legal until she retired.
Rosalinda was a lover of opera, classical and tango music. She was a frequent attendee of the various Knolls Co-op-organized gatherings such as the scarf-tying and card-making classes and was active with the Community Council. She was an avid gardener, who enjoyed working in the gardening plot that she could see from her apartment window and also enjoyed visiting Wave Hill and the Bronx Botanical Gardens with her friends whenever possible.
After a five-and-a-half year battle with multiple myeloma, Rosalinda succumbed to complications of her cancer and covid.
Rosalinda was predeceased by her husband Nicolas, her son Nick and her long-time companion Bob Jubin. Rosalinda is survived by her brother Jose and her daughter Victoria.
The family will be receiving condolence visits at the Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home at 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY 10471, on Friday October 28 2022, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM.
