BROSNAN — Eileen (nee Purcell) passed away peacefully after a long illness on March 14, 2022. Eileen was a devoted wife of husband Sean for 68 years and beloved mother of Mary (Bill) and Tom (Jean). She was a proud grandmother of Katie, Conor and Christian. Native of Ballybunion, County Kerry, Ireland and long-time Riverdale resident. Eileen was blessed with a beautiful voice and instilled her love of Irish music and dancing in her children and grandchildren. Reposing Sunday, March 20, 3-6 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 21, 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Wounded Warriors.
