Martin (Marty) McDermott (62) passed unexpectedly. He was pre-deceased by his beloved mother Winifred (Connolly) and father William McDermott. Marty was born in NYC; raised in Inwood. He attended St. Jude School and Bishop Dubois/Cardinal Hayes H.S.. Marty was treasured brother of Frances ( Jim) Kennedy, Kenny McDermott, and the late John McDermott. Fun-loving uncle of Jimmy Kennedy, Christine (Mark) Lewis, Meghan (Justin) Hernandez, Sunit and John McDermott and Grand Uncle to Daniel, and by his many cousins and friends. Marty worked for Local 32-BJ as a doorman at 170 West End Avenue and was loved by many. Marty loved the NY Yankees and was honorary “6th member” of The Rolling Stones in which he was a life long fan. Marty will be missed by his family and his many friends.
