Bernard “Benny” Connaughton Born March 27 1930. Oldest child of Peter and Dorothy Connaughton from Athleague, County Roscommon. Came to US in 1949.

Owner of Galway Bay Tavern, Gary’s Barleycorn, The Dockside and MacMenamin’s Irish Pub.

Survived by his children Maureen (Edward) and Kevin. Granddaughters Mallory and Ashleigh. His brother Terence and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews

Pre deceased by his wife Ann, sons Peter and Brian, brothers Rory and Albert and sister Dorothy.

Reposing Sunday, November 5th from 3-7 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, November 6th 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Interment St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
