Catherine Smith, age 100, of the Bronx NY passed away on May 15, 2023 at Saint Patrick’s Nursing Home.

Born in Manhattan, Catherine was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (McCarthy) Smith. Catherine lived and went to school in Our Lady of Refuge Parish before moving to the Riverdale neighborhood and St. Margaret of Cortana Parish.

Catherine retired as an Officer at Chase Manhattan Bank after a career of over 35 years.
In in retirement Catherine enjoyed volunteering and traveling to visit family and friends.

Catherine was predeceased by her twin brother Quinten, brothers William and Joseph, sisters Rita Dietrich, Carolyn Haughey, Sister Jean Smith OP, nephew James Haughey and niece Carolyn Eddy.

Catherine is survived by her niece Elizabeth Ward and husband Jim Ward, great nephew and niece Brian and Elizabeth Anne Ward.

Reposing Friday, May 19th 2023 from 8:30 - 10:15 am at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, located at 6110 Riverdale Ave Bronx, NY. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY.
