Mary Coscia (nee Tellian), beloved mother, friend, and Yankee fan passed away Thursday, August 24 at the age of 84.  

Mary, a lifelong resident of The Bronx, was the daughter of the late Vartan (Walter) & Keghetsig (Katherine) Tellian.  

After staying home to raise her two children, she started her career in education. She was a para-professional at P.S. 86 before becoming Middle School 45’s cherished payroll secretary.  Her co-workers at MS 45 became her second family.  

Mary will be remembered for her sense of humor, sharp wit, selflessness, and her youthful spirit. She cherished R.E.M. and Pearl Jam and kept her heart young as an active fan.

She is survived by her daughter Dawn, son Craig, and grandfurbaby Daisy.

Reposing Monday 2-5 pm only and continues on Tuesday 4-7 pm only at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx NY.  Funeral Services Wednesday 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church of Armenia, 580 West 187th Street, NYC.  Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
