Theresa Mulligan
Theresa Mulligan passed away peacefully on January 1st surrounded by her loving family. Born to an Irish father and German mother, Theresa grew up in a large family with 8 siblings. Raised with a strong sense of family and resilience, she carried these values throughout her long and fulfilling life.
At the age of 18, Theresa met and married a young soldier, John Mulligan and together they built a beautiful family of 10 children. Her devotion to her children was unmatched, and she always prioritized her family above all else. Throughout the years, she nurtured and supported each of her children, instilling in them the same work ethic, love, and determination that guided her own journey.
Never one to settle for anything less than her best, Theresa returned to school in her 50’s to ear her high school equivalency diploma, followed by a bachelor’s degree and eventually a master’s degree. Her pursuit of education at an age when many might consider slowing down is a testament to her unyielding drive and commitment to personal growth.
In addition to her children, Theresa was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her legacy forward. She was a constant source of wisdom, love and joy to all who knew her, and her family’s admiration for her was immeasurable.
Theresa will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Her legacy of hard work, perseverance, and boundless love will live on in all those whose lives she touched.
