German Luna

German Luna passed away on September 14, 2016 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Argentina A. Luna (nee Luciano). Loving father to German F. Luna and Alice Luna-Tavares. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Daniel, Darlene and Briana Luna; and Nathalia and Soleil Tavares. Devoted great grandfather to Cayden and Kyler Luna. Surviving Brothers: Luis Luna, Hector Luna. Surviving Sisters: Teresa Luna-Knight, Jaqueline Luna, Rosa Luna, Xiomara Luna

Occupation: He worked in maintenance of charter buses such as Trailways and Greyhound for over 20 yrs. Then he worked in framework configuration? ("set up") for conferences at the Jacob Javitz Convention Center for over 10 years. Lastly, he owned a family business ( a supermarket) for a couple of years. Then retired.

Hobbies/ interests: upon retiring, he liked to travel with my mother on exotic trips ( Africa, Australia etc.) He loved spending time with family, most importantly his children and grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and was always saying jokes or giving "funny" nicknames to loved ones. He was a fantastic cook and often invited family for delicious dinners. He enjoyed fishing when younger. 

Reposing Sunday 2-6 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10 am at St. Elizabeth's Church, on 187th Street and Wadsworth Avenue, NYC. Entombment Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx NY.
