Gloria Consani, age 78, passed away the morning of August 1, 2017. She was a resident of the Riverdale section of the Bronx for 47 years. She was born and raised in the Washington Heights section of New York City by her parents, Jack and Anita Fresno. She went to school at P.S. 187 and graduated from George Washington High School.
In New York, Gloria met the love of her life, Pio Consani, in 1959 and were married at the completion of his US military service in 1962. She was a devoted wife and mother to her two sons (Mark & John) and loving grandmother to four grandchildren (Jake, Luke, Erik, & Kaylee). Gloria was an inspiring mother-in-law to her two daughters-in-law (Kristin & Kerry).
Gloria was an avid reader. She was most happy when her toes were in the sand and could smell the ocean air. She enjoyed listening to the roaring thunder of the crashing waves coming onto shore. She also sought comfort in listening to her favorite music, most notably Neil Diamond.
Gloria seldom handed out platitudes, but shared her wisdom to all. Her ever-present smile and laughter was enjoyed and remembered by all her knew her. She cherished her friends, both old and new, and always remembered their birthdays and other celebrations.
Gloria was loved by many and will be missed.
