Marilyn Is Now at Peace, she passed on October 18, 2019 - As children my sisters and I spent a lot of time with Marilyn, our dear Oma. Although there were many great times at dinners, on vacations, and random adventures, my warmest memories are of the times we spent in her apartment. I can’t speak for my sisters’ memories, but mine were of the simple nights we spent together. We would sit on her bed and watch countless hours of TV including one of our favorites, Wheel of Fortune. She would sit with me while I played with my dollhouse and with my pound puppies, and when I was craving something sweet, she would bring in my favorite dessert, a bowl of cookies and cream ice cream topped with pudding and whipped cream. On nights where I wasn’t feeling well, she would always calm me by rubbing my back and telling me wonderful stories about Da and her dog Ginger. She dedicated her life to love. She loved my mom, my sisters, and I with every fiber of her being. We miss her very much, but we know she is at peace watching over us.
