Corneilius Henry (“Hank”) Conway, Jr. passed away on November 15, 2019 after a short illness. Hank was born on September 29, 1930 in Yonkers, N.Y. He is survived by his sister, Carol Conway Wik of Southampton, N.Y., nephews & nieces Ray Wik, Kathy Wik, Thomas Wik, Donald McArthur, Robert McArthur & Mary Nancy McArthur DiLeo and many grand nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Corneilius Henry Conway, Sr. and Josephine McMahon Conway, sister Virginia Conway McArthur, nephew William Wik, niece Ann Carol (Nena).
Hank graduated from Manhattan Prep and Manhattan College in 1960 with a BA in Business.
His avocation was the “Big Band Era.” He wrote articles for “Nostalgia World”. A big fan of FM radio, he would fill his home with the sounds of Sinatra, Harry James, Benny Goodman and the like.
Active in his Parish of St. Margaret of Cortona, he ushered at Sunday Mass, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed working in the support of “Beef Steak Night”.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret of Cortona Church on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 9:45 am. The family will receive family and friends at the Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY on the same day (November 30, 2019) after lunch from 2 pm to 5 pm.
