Robert F. Caronia

Robert F. Caronia passed away on February 6, 2019 at the age of 72.  He was born in the Bronx on October 10th, 1946. He was a resident of New York City for his entire life. As a child he was a choirboy at Saint Anthony’s Parish and enjoyed spending time with his brother Albert and his cousins Paul , Steven and Anthony. He was a faithful son to his parents Helen and Louis, and loved his godmother Angelina Skalicky dearly.

He was drafted to war in 1968 and served his country with distinction. After returning from Vietnam he  worked for defense contractors  Loral and Lockheed Martin and later took a job with the with the new york city MTA.

In 1978 he married the love of his life Brenda Eisenberg. Brenda and Bob have two children, Jonathan and Andrew, both of whom became physicians.

In his later years he was blessed to become grandfather to Angelo , Jacob, Palmina ,Francis and Jonah. He dedicated the last years of his life to helping raise his grandchildren. Above all else he was a family man who was a giant in our lives. He will be dearly missed.

Family will gather at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, West 261st St, on Saturday February 9th 2019. Service at 9 am followed by an interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY
