On December 11, 2020, Richard C. Bellom lost his battle with cancer. He was born in NYC to Carolyn and Charles Bellom and grew up in the Bronx. He met his wife Elizabete, the love of his life, thirty-three years ago.
Richard enjoyed simple pleasures--spending time with his family and many friends, listening to music, and going out on his boat. He loved fishing, discussing politics, and he loved animals, especially his dog, Nina. He was outspoken, loyal and protective of his loved ones; he had a positive outlook, an inviting smile, and a heart of gold.
He is survived by his wife Elizabete, his sister Loretta, her husband Paul, and his niece Angelina. He was like a brother to his cousin Joanne and his sister-in-law Creuza. Richard will be missed by his extended family of cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and his many friends both here and in Brazil, along with his co-workers and acquaintances.
He would want us to continue to celebrate life each day, in spite of its challenges.
There will be a memorial gathering for family and friends from 1 – 4 pm, on Monday, December 28th at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave. Bronx, NY.
