Kathryn Clyne a lifelong resident of the Bronx and a 68-year resident of Riverdale died on May 1, 2020. Mrs. Clyne worked as the Director of Public Relations for the Frances Schervier Home and Hospital. She was also the executive assistant for Father Mc Donald in Northern Yonkers. She also worked in her husband`s medical office. Her husband Dr. William Clyne died in 1991. Her son William died in 2014.
Mrs. Clyne is survived by her daughters Kathryn Elzinga and her husband Dr. Hank Elzinga, and Mary Helen Bayerle and her husband Jim. She is also survived by her son John and his wife Tara, and a daughter in-law Kim, and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Clyne graduated from Maplehurst High School, which became the Convert of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, Connecticut. She graduated from Elizabeth Seton College, Marymount College, and Fordham University, where she earned an MBA in 1982. Mrs. Clyne loved to travel through Europe. She was also a big baseball fan and traveled to the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, and the Montreal Expos spring camps. Mrs. Clyne favorite baseball player was Jim Kaat. She loved the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennet, and the Beatles. Mrs. Clyne was a parishioner of St. Gabriel’s.
