Carol Elizabeth Green passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2021, at the age of 79. Carol is survived by her brother Gerald, his wife Betty, and several nieces and nephews. She joins her parents Patrick and Mary Ann, sister Anne, and brother Patrick in heavenly rest.
Carol was raised in the Fordham Road section of the Bronx where she was a member of the St. Nicholas of Tolentine parish. She later moved to Riverdale in 1976 where she became a beloved member of the Netherland Gardens community.
Carol spent her entire 37-year career at Con Edison, where she worked in public relations before retiring in 1997. During the 1964–65 World’s Fair, she was a Con Ed Girl at the Tower of Light Pavilion, greeting visitors and ushering celebrities and other VIPs to special events. She was named Miss Tower of Light and represented the pavilion in the Miss Unisphere contest. Also during her career, she managed the Con Edison Museum.
