Dr. Brown passed away, peacefully, in his sleep on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, November 15, 1932. He grew up in Brooklyn and lived in New Rochelle and over 50 years in Riverdale.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ellen, his loving children, Deborah, Robert, Karen, loving stepchildren, Jerold and Mary Ellen; grandchildren Jon, Krista, Cassidy, Trevor, Nicole. Jamie, Christine and Alexis. He has a great granddaughter, Olivia
Dr. Brown was a well known general surgeon. He graduated from NYU Medicsl School in 1958, residencies in NYU and Bellevue. Locally , he was on the staff of Jewish Memorial, St. Elizabeth,St. John Riverside and St. Joseph’s hospitals. He was beloved by his patients, staff, hospital workers and neighbors for his kindness, wit and whistling! Dr. Brown and Ellen were also private pilots.

Reposing on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 2-5 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY. Interment Tuesday 11:30 am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
