James Vincent Komar (12/19/1939 - 1/27/2023), known as Jim, age 83, unexpectedly passed away at his home. He was born in Yonkers, New York. Jim’s father was born in Empress, Austria. He migrated to America, served in World War I and became a Yonkers police officer. Jim’s mother was born in Yonkers and was of Polish decent. She had seven children.
Jim was the youngest of four sisters and three brothers. Jim and his wife, Marjorie, were married for 62 years. They have three children together: Jimmy, Diane and John. They also have two grandchildren together: Hamo and Jasmina.
Jim was a great man who loved his family and was loved by many. He worked for many years in the Computer field as a Systems Analyst. He loved all sports.
The wake was held at Riverdale on the Hudson Funeral Home. A mass was held at Saint Gabriel’s Catholic Church and was laid to rest at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Yonkers, New York.
