Greg was born on May 5,1959. The oldest son of Eileen and the late Gustavo Sosa. Greg was a happy kid who loved school, particularly LeMoyne College where he met his lifelong friends.

After college he joined the sales force of Lipton, then Kraft and spent the last twenty years of his work life with Merck Pharmaceutical. Wherever he went he made more friends.

Greg loved watching professional sports, especially New York teams. He shared this love with his niece and nephews. He had season tickets for the Mets and the Jets. He spent time making arrangements with friends to attend these games with him. He was also devoted to the LeMoyne community and organized many alumni get togethers.

Greg was a proud New Yorker, having been born and lived his entire life in Manhattan. He was delighted to have been born on Cinco de Mayo, a birthday he shared with his paternal great-grandfather Christano Sosa and his maternal great-grandfather Peter McPartlin.

Greg was a generous guy, a good friend, a wonderful son and brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and cousin. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A wake will be held at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, located at 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY from 3 to 7 pm on Friday, June 2, 2023. Parking available 1/2 block south (North End of Lot) at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY.
