Reinaldo Lugo, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 80.
He was born on January 8, 1944, in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, and was raised with 7 brothers and sisters. He moved to New York City as a teenager and it was here that he met his future wife, Ana (Violeta). They were married for 57 years.
Lugo, as he was known to everyone, is survived by his wife, Ana, his 3 daughters, Damaris, Selene (husband Michael), and Nemesis (fiancé Steven), and his grandson, Giancarlo Rei.
Known for his warm smile and generous spirit, Lugo had a gift for making friends and helping those around him. Lugo held various maintenance positions throughout his life. He was a true jack-of-all-trades, capable of fixing anything from a broken appliance to a leaky faucet. If a neighbor needed a hand, Lugo was always the first to offer his assistance, no matter the time or day.
Lugo's dedication to his family and community was matched only by his lifelong passion for the New York Yankees. A devoted fan, he could often be found proudly wearing his Yankees cap.
