Long-time Bronx resident Nancy M. Donahue passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024.
A North Carolina native, she was born on January 20, 1937, to John M. McCallum and Edith P. McCallum. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband of 31 years, John F. Donahue Jr. in 1992 and her son-in-law Anthony N. Uva in 2020.
The “Spirit of Nancy” lives on in her daughters; Theresa D. Koenig, NC, Jean D. Uva, NJ, Carol D. Knowles (Kory)
NC, Susan D. White (Frank) NC, and Mary F. Donahue, TN. Her two sisters Harriet M. Hines (Sonny) and Meredith M. Harland (Randy) and special sister-in-law Ann Donahue are missing her dearly. She loved her 9 grandchildren: Caitlin Eder (Jonathan), Neil Eder (Mikki), Rosemary Koenig, Nicholas Uva, John Uva, Ian White, Maria White, Kathleen White, Jack Stanley and great-grandson, Jameson Eder. She was their champion, always, and supported their independence as they pursued their unique life paths. Nancy was adored by numerous nieces and nephews and she dearly loved her extended family, cousins, in-laws and friends who have become family.
Following her wishes, Nancy’s family will not have a memorial service at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The City Meals on Wheels Organization, which she regularly supported.
