Jack was born on June 23, 1945 in The Bronx to Gerald and Bridie (Smith) Flood. He passed away at home on June 21, 2017 after a long illness with his wife beside him. He is survived by his loving wife Catherine (née Conran), his sister Geraldine Nugent, his many nieces and nephews in the McElligott, Nugent, Conran and Zimnoch families. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Kathleen McElligott. Jack was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants football fan. He attended many a Super Bowl when his beloved Giants played. He was very proud of his Irish heritage and knew all the words to many Irish tunes (even if he did not have a voice for them). Had a great knowledge of old movies and was the go to guy when anyone had a question. He graduated from Mt. St. Michael's and Manhattan College. He was a member of the Manhattan's Pipe Band until his health no longer permitted it.
