Christopher Lewis Lehman, 59, of Yonkers passed away on Tuesday, June 20th in Manhattan. The visitation will be held at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home at 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY 10471 on Sunday, June 25th from 2pm to 5pm. The burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, 2 Green Street, Mount Kisco, NY 10549 on Monday, June 26th at 11:30am.
Christopher was born tin 1958 to the late Georgia and Lewis Lehman in Boston, MA. He attended Mahopac High School, the University of Buffalo, the Berklee School of Music, and graduated from The New School with a bachelor of performing arts. He married Maureen Lehman in 1988, and worked as an insurance broker for The Brownstone Agency for the past 26 years. He was an accomplished jazz trumpeter and songwriter, releasing a record in 2010, entitled PopJazzic. For many years he maintained Earlin Music, a charity dedicated to jazz performance.
He leaves behind his wife, Maureen, and his two children, Alice and Baxter Lehman, ages 22 and 24, and his siblings, Kristin Ferguson, Jennifer Paquette, and Lewis Lehman. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Lehman.
