Erin Dzikas, taken from us much too soon, entered eternal life on Monday, January 11, 2021.
Erin was born in Oceanside, New York, but resided most of her life in Riverdale. She attended St. Margaret of Cortona Grammar School and Maria Regina High School.
Erin, a loving and compassionate person, had an unconditional love for her family. She was truly loved by all and will forever live through the beautiful memories that are etched in everyone’s heart. Her smile, energy and enthusiasm for life, was contagious to all.
Erin loved sports. If she wasn’t playing, she was coaching from the dugout or the sideline, with a sister on her team, either playing or coaching with her. The clicking sound of her high heels still resonate on the sideline at St. Margaret’s.
Erin is survived by her loving parents, Joe and Susan Dzikas; her sister’s, Janet Hargadon (Andrew), Joanne Dzikas (David Laffan), and Marianne Dzikas (Keith Murphy); her aunts, Carolyn Kaplan and Rebecca Blom; her cousins, Jeffrey Kaplan, AJ Blom, Sara Nicole Blom, Stephen Blom Radoci (Craig), Dylan Blom (Kate) and Tom, Mary and Nicole Dzikas. The prides of her life, her nephews, Andrew, Jack and James Hargadon and Lola, her loving French bulldog.
Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic and restrictions in place, there will be a viewing for immediate family only on Monday, January 18, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Facial coverings are required and adherence to social distancing will be in effect.)
The Dzikas family plans to celebrate Erin’s life in a ceremony at a future date.
