Francisco Alexander Pozo-Schmidt passed away on December 31, 2021. He was to celebrate his 26th birthday on January 27th.
From the moment he was born, Franc was instantly loved by everyone he met. His welcoming smile and well-mannered demeanor were the only things a person needed before they knew they could trust him wholeheartedly. His compassion and benevolence made it clear to everyone how pure and good of a person he was. Although a man of fewer words, he always expressed his desire to help others and support his family, even if it meant making his own sacrifices or stepping out of his comfort zone. However, he had been battling with his mental health for a long time, and had only recently begun his journey towards recovery until his very sudden passing.
Franc was preparing to return to school and major in Exercise Science so that he could continue his love for fitness and someday open his own gym. He spent many years focusing on providing fitness and exercise services for children with special needs. He also planned to continue his achievements in Brazilian jiu jitsu, where his love for the sport will be passed down to his younger brothers.
Franc will live on through his mother Vivian Schmidt, father Jose Pozo, siblings Sofia, Julian, and Maximus Pozo-Schmidt, and an orange tabby, Dewey.
